Heavy Magnesium Oxide

Magnesium oxide (MgO)is also called magnesia powder, light burned magnesia powder, calcined brucite powder or heavy magnesium oxide. With the bulk density of 2.94 g/cm3,melting point 2852 ℃ and boiling point of 3600 ℃, heavy magnesium oxide is soluble in acid and ammonium salt but hardly soluble in water and ethanol. The surface area is 180 m2 / g when calcination temperature 400 ℃,3 m2 / g when temperature 1300 ℃. Deliquescence easily in the air. Heavy magnesium oxide is a gas rigid cementitious material.

Product usage of heavy magnesium oxide
(1)Industry
Caustic calcined magnesium oxide is widely used in steel plant, desulphurization in power plant. Heavy magnesium oxide can be used to produce magnesite brick or a furnace protecting material.
(2)Animal husbandry
Magnesium oxide which with low heavy metal content can be sprayed on the farm as animal feed which can increase nutrition for the animals.
(3)Construction
In the building materials industry, it can make particle boards, heat preservation posts, rails, artificial marble, asbestos shingle, common tiles, walls and flooring.
