Global research into bio-absorbable materials has increased significantly over the last decade, particularly in the fields of orthopaedic trauma fixation and vascular intervention, where the use of metallic implants is commonplace.
We have been actively involved in bioabsorbable technologies research for several years. A major programme within our portfolio is development and commercialization of our exclusive magnesium bioabsorbable technologies. Investment has been made in a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility established for bio-absorbable alloys.
Our biomed products are produced and are fully traceable against a checklist of international manufacturing standards including ISO 9001 2008 and AS/EN 9100:2009 (rev C).
Our researchers have worked in close collaboration with universities and leading medical device companies. Through these programs, our bioabsorbable alloy has already undergone a number in-vitro and in-vivo evaluations, and additional clinical trials are planned.
